RSVP is one of the largest volunteer efforts in the nation, matching local community issues with adults who are willing to help to put their skills and experience to work to solve these issues. RSVP links the skills of the volunteers with the identified need and the volunteers determine how many hours a week the can serve. Volunteers serve at local food pantries, thrift stores, homeless outreach, mailings, children and youth programs and much, much more. RSVP volunteers do not receive any monetary incentive or stipend, but they are covered by Volunteer Insurance which includes accident, personal liability, and excess automobile insurance (additional information available) at NO COST to them. Volunteers have FUN and are invited to recognition and other events such as A Day at the Movies, Veterans Recognition, a Thanksgiving luncheon and holiday parties. Additionally, volunteers have access to free bus tokens and METS Mobility passes to help them reach their volunteer destination.
