We are in constant need of caring adults that are willing to spend one class period each week with a child at the child's school. This program is primarily a school-based organization and meets during the school year. The volunteer mentor is paired with a child that is usually in the 6th or 7th grade. The two are matched by their similiar interests. The two can spend their time together each week shooting hoops, playing games or cards, doing homework, scrapbooking, doing crafts, going for a walk, etc. There is a year committment but the hope is that the volunteer will stay with that same child until the child graduates from high school.
