Every day almost 180 elders are served breakfast and lunch in Curry Senior Center's Dining Room. Lunch is not just for food, but for socializing and simply getting out of the small rooms or apartments San Francisco's seniors call home.
Volunteers are needed each day to help serve the meals and interact with seniors. Volunteers are needed to assist them in serving meals, organizing bingo games and socializing with clients.1-5 volunteers are needed daily from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. and Friday-Sunday 10:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.

Description
Today, at Curry Senior Center we serve 2,600 seniors within a central city area stretching from Potrero Hill to lower Nob Hill and from the San Francisco Bay to Van Ness Avenue. We provide primary care at our medical clinic and through home visits to clients, case management for those who want it, substance abuse counseling, social and educational opportunities, and breakfast and lunch daily for seniors. In late 2003, we opened a new facility for our social programs and permanent housing for 13 formerly homeless seniors. Throughout our history, Dr. Curry's mission statement has been our driving force.
