The main focus of the Community Outreach Director is to share RMGDRI with the community through various activities. These activities are designed to give back to the community while promoting goodwill toward the Rescue. The individual filling this role will report directly to the Board. Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Plan, organize, coordinate and implement quality community support and outreach services
- Oversee DogSkool Program
- Oversee Nursing Home/Hospital Visitation Program
- Facilitate community presentations and programming regarding Great Dane education
- Work with State Coordinators to provide same services in other States
- Recruitment and development of community outreach committee from volunteer base
- Develop partnerships with community agencies and businesses to encourage program participation and sponsorships
- Conduct needs assessments with special needs groups to determine appropriate community services programming

Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue is a group of volunteers concerned with the welfare of Great Danes. It is our purpose to find new, permanent, and loving homes for Great Danes that have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned in primarily Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Utah.
Description
For each Dane that comes to us, our Rescue is literally their only hope. If we can't help them, then no help will come. As part of our mission, RMGDRI firmly believes that it is our responsibility to do all that we can for every Dane that comes into our haven, into our care.
