No One Should Die Alone

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Heartland Hospice

Since ancient times, it has been a compassionate practice to be present for another through the dying experience. This principle continues as the basic foundation of how we embrace the end-of-life process. The Vigil Volunteer provides support and guidance at the bedside of our hospice client, providing an invaluable gift to one who may have otherwise died alone. Our Vigil Volunteers may share music, prayer or simply their presence through this time.

Orientation and on-going training provided! Background and reference check required.

Counties Served: Richmond City, Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, New Kent, Powhatan, Colonial Heights City, Hopewell City, Petersburg City, Louisa, Amelia, Caroline, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, King and Queen, King William, Prince George
