Deliver meals to people in need within your community and make a huge impact on someone's day. Home meal delivery is sometimes the only friendly contact a meal recipient has during the day - wouldn't you like to be that special visitor?
Drive to local residences and receive mileage reimbursement or visit with a fresh, hot meal and some kind words. Your time will be greatly appreciated!
ProAction has home delivered meal programs in Bath, Hornell, and Addison.
Prefer to work in foodservice? No problem - assist at the meal site in the preparation of nourishing meals and in cleanup.

Volunteers make a difference!
AmeriCorps Seniors of Steuben County provides opportunities for people ages 55 and over to make a significant impact in their communities through volunteering. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few hours a month to over 40 hours a week serving in their communities. Opportunities to serve include volunteering at local hospitals and nursing homes, schools, food pantries, public safety programs, and other nonprofit agencies and organizations. RSVP staff assist volunteers in sharing their experience, abilities and skills for the betterment of the community and themselves. Volunteer orientation, on-site training, supplemental insurance (while on duty), and mileage reimbursement are free services available for RSVP volunteers.
