Provides assistance to frail elderly at risk of nursing home placement. Care is provided in a home setting as if the residents are your own family. The residents are low income and have no friends or family to meet their needs as their health has declined. Volunteers serve 3 or more shifts each month. A one year commitment is asked.
Masks are required for each shift and social distancing as much as possible.

Emmanuel House is a home for older adults who are no longer capable of living alone and have limited support and no resources. The home is established to uphold the value and dignity of the gift of long life as bestowed by God.
Description
Emmanuel House is a non-profit corporation established to provide free services to the frail, indigent elderly. Emmanuel House is a collaborative effort of Servants of God's Love Ministries, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lansing, Michigan, and Hope Medical Clinic of Ypsilanti, Michigan.
