The Trail Center , an all-volunteer organization, devotes one Saturday a month to constructing and maintaining hiking trails in the Bay Area. Our workday on Saturday, July 12 will be at Memorial Park in San Mateo County . We'll be continuing work on both the Pomponio and Creek trails that we began in June. This will include repairing tread and retaining walls, rehabilitating two sections of trail washed out in the 1998 El Nino, brushing, cribbing and other general trail maintenance. We'll be meeting at 8:30am and will work until about 3:00pm and will try to coordinate arrangements for those wishing to car pool. The Trail Center is a non-profit volunteer organization formed in 1983 to provide and promote quality non-motorized trail opportunities for all people in San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Alameda and San Francisco counties.
