We service 9 counties in the Northern Indiana area, so we are in great need of volunteers!
Support for patients
- Visiting
- Reading
- Writing Letters or Cards
- Friendly Phone Calls
- Providing Yard Work
- Planning a Birthday Celebration or other Special Occasion Celebration
- Making Special Handcrafted Items:
- Holiday Cards
- Gift Baskets
- Lap Blankets and Shawls
- Providing Baked Goods
Support for family members
- Assist with Shopping or Household Maintenance
- Short Respite Relief:
- Sitting with Patient for 1 - 4 Hours to Allow Caregiver Relief
- Visits or Phone Calls to Caregivers or Family members from a compassionate friend.
Administrative Work
- A volunteer with clerical skills can serve hospice by helping in the office with simple administrative duties, such as:
- Preparing Mailings
- Typing, photocopying, etc.

Description
Hospice is a concept of care for patients facing a life-limiting illness who no longer wish to pursue aggressive medical treatment and instead choose comfort measures. Our goal is to enrich the quality of life as life’s journey nears its completion. Through supportive, loving, comfort care we offer patients and their families comfort for body, mind and spirit.
