About

Help us make camp a reality for every 4th and 5th grader in Washtenaw County who qualifies for the National School Lunch Program: foster children, homeless children and children in low-income families.

SIGN-UP FOR THIS SEASON IS OPEN FROM NOW UNTIL MAY 15. Liaisons answer family's questions, help them fill out forms, remind them of deadlines and make sure their child has everything he or she needs for camp! We provide a full scholarship, a duffel bag and sleeping bag, and a gift card for chothes if requested.

Each liaison is responsible for 5 or 6 families. Liaisons must have good verbal communication skills and excellent skill in attending to detail.

The time commitment is about 2 hours every week until the child goes to camp, spent calling each family (almost none of these families have computers so all communication is by phone) to assess their readiness, keep notes and email the liaison supervisor with the status of each family.
