Requesting women chaperones 18 and older and in pairs to attend a San Francisco Giants game or an Oakland A's game with unmarried parents and their kids.

You will also volunteer at a local qualifying event for the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run individual skills competition for youth age 7 to 14.

You will also attend the National Competition will be held during the All-Star game held at AT&T Park in San Francisco. (Fund-raising required for this event.)

WHOmentors.com, Inc. operates a program to provide donated tickets to unmarried mothers and their children who have never attended a major (professional) sports event. The ticket distribution program targets unmarried mothers who are in need or who are least likely to pay for tickets on their own.

WHOmentors.com, Inc. offers free or discounted tickets to teenagers when accompanied by a paying volunteer adult (quid pro quo sponsor). These children were predominately from low-income, single parent homes. In America, 24 million children live in homes without their fathers. And nearly 40% of these children have not seen their fathers at all in the past year. Older teenagers are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

If you would like to volunteer and/or sponsor an unmarried mother and her child to a game, please call 415-238-1902 or email for the lastest information on the next scheduled event.

The goal is to allow volunteers to spend some quality time with an unmarried mother and her teenager that's fun and exciting and will make a measurable difference in their lives. Research proves teenagers who interact with caring adult volunteers and mentor practitioners develop higher levels of self-confidence, have improved relationships with adults and peers and develop more positive attitudes towards school.

Additionally, we will impart lessons about the importance of eating well and being physically active at a young age, something that is crucial to reversing the trend of childhood obesity in this country.

Next game: Tuesday, May 8th @ 7:15, Giants vs. NY Mets. Show by 6:00pm. 15 slots for entire group.

Oakland A's game: Tuesday, May 15th @ 7:05pm vs. Kansas City Royals. Show by 6:00pm. 50 slots for entire group.
