As a MONEY MANAGEMENT Volunteer, you will assist an Older Adult client with basic budgeting, check-writing or other financial tasks. Help is needed in Elk Grove and Schaumburg Township areas. Volunteers must be available to serve during normal weekday, business hours. This opportunity asks a volunteer to make a commitment to serve for at least 9 months and able to offer at least four to ten hours per month. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, possess over five years professional experience in business, finance, and/or accounting, and they must live within a five to seven mile radius of Elk Grove and Schaumburg Townships.

[Kenneth Young Center provides community mental health and senior services to the northwest suburbs. Clients and their families come to us in some of their most desperate moments, and we help by providing:

  • Service coordination and in-home services for frail elderly persons.
  • Counseling for adults, children, families.
  • Assessment, stabilization, linkage for adults/children in psychiatric crisis.
  • Treatment, support, and recovery services for those with serious mental illness. Volunteer opportunities.
