Womankind works with survivors of gender-based violence to rise above trauma and build a path to healing. We bring critical resources and deep cultural competency to help Asian communities find refuge, recovery and renewal from domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence.
The Youth Ambassador program's mission is to raise awareness, educate, and provide resources to youth in the community about gender-based violence, while empowering youth and supporting leadership development by providing a platform for youth-led activism.
Youth ages 14-21 who are passionate about fighting against gender-based violence are invited to join a group of likeminded peers and make a difference in the NYC Pan Asian community!
Youth meet weekly from 4:30pm-6:30pm one day a week starting in the fall. Email volunteer@iamwk.org for more information and to apply.

Mission Statement
Womankind uses the multidimensionality of our Asian heritage to work alongside survivors of gender-based violence as they build a path to healing. Description
Womankind brings critical resources and deep cultural competency to help survivors of all ages find refuge, recovery, and renewal from domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence. Through our programs, we offer a wide variety of services in 18+ Asian languages and dialects, including: a toll-free 24/7 multilingual helpline, safe and confidential emergency housing, culturally-informed counseling, family law and immigration legal assistance, wellness activities, creative arts therapy, support groups, and economic empowerment workshops. We are an expert in serving Asian communities, yet our services are valuable and available to all. Whether in our services or in our increasing advocacy and policy work, Womankind first centers the survivor by uplifting them to control their own lives and narratives.
