Who We Are
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on providing a reliable food rescue service by fostering community connections to reduce food waste and food insecurity.
What We Do
We partner with licensed food vendors (offices, restaurants, etc) who know they will have excess, wholesome cuisine and link their food donations to a human service agency within their local community. We then provide volunteer Food Rescuers to collect that excess food on a weekly (sometimes daily!), recurring basis, and walk it to the human service agency to help feed individuals who could benefit from a good meal!
Who We Need
YOU!!!
We are currently in need of volunteer Food Rescuers to help us at an office every Monday at 10am in Gramercy Park! Volunteers would pick up any excess food they might have (typically 24lbs) and deliver it to a nearby shelter for the benefit of the individuals they serve. It only takes 30 minutes to provide 24lbs of food to those who need it most!
