Atlanta Family Hospice is seeking exceptional volunteers!
Are you willing to provide compassion, care and assistance to Hospice patients? Hospice is a specialized type of care for those facing a life-limiting illness. As a volunteer you will provide empathetic attention to patients by reading, writing, talking, listening, helping with crafts and whatever talent that you would like to share.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality individualized care to patients who face life-limiting illness. We believe the patient and family are one. We extend our support and services to our patients, their families, caregivers, and the communities we serve.
Description
Hospice isn't a place, it is a philosophy and level of extraordinary care. We focus on serving patients at end of life, with a prognosis of six months or less to live, if the disease runs its normal course. Hospice is palliation of pain and system management, not curative focused. We have an interdisciplinary rather than hierarchy approach, to meet the goals and expectations of our patients, as well as their family. Our team consists of Volunteers, nurses, physicians, certified nursing assistants, mastered prepared licensed medical social workers, non-denominational chaplains and spiritual care coordinators, as well as bereavement coordinators and our community partners.
