Are you tech savvy? Do you have a passion for people want to share your knowledge, teaching seniorsbasic skills in learning to use a computer? We need YOU!
YWCA Union Pacific is in need of a Volunteer Computer Instructor. The Volunteer Computer Instructor will be responsible for teaching seniors from the East LA comunity to use email, do internet searches, and the basic skills of using a computer. They will provide assistance to seniors when help is needed or answer any questions they may have.
Volunteers with previous experience with good oral communication skills and a desire to work with seniors are welcome to apply. Previous experience teaching is helpful, but not required.

Description
YWCA Greater Los Angeles Sexual Assault Crisis Services provides comprehensive services to survivors of sexual assault 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We need the assistance of volunteers like YOU to continue providing these much-needed services in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Volunteers will assist with the intake of calls from our 24-hour crisis hotline and provide accompaniments as victim advocates to survivors of sexual assault treated at one of our SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) hospitals. Volunteer Advocates also assist in educating the community about the emerging issue of sexual violence and are ambassadors of the YWCA GLA Sexual Assault Crisis Services.
All YWCA Greater Los Angeles Sexual Assault Crisis Services volunteers must attend and complete a 56. 5-hour Sexual Assault Certification training before becoming a Certified Sexual Assault Volunteer Advocate. YWCA GLA, SACS is now recruiting for our first cohort of 2023! Our training will begin on February 28, 2023.
This is your chance to join the movement and become a Certified Sexual Assault Volunteer Advocate to help provide support to sexual assault survivors.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Mandatory attendance at all training sessions (56.5 hours) to successfully become a certified Sexual Assault Victim Advocate
Monthly sign-ups for Volunteer Service
Attend monthly in-service (continuing education) meetings
