Maybe you’ve found yourself lost in time due to the prose of a book. Or perhaps you noticed the numerical ratios in the petals of a flower or realized how many biological mechanisms are behind every smile. Whatever has brought you to this point, you have discovered the importance of education. Now is the opportunity to spread that wisdom to our local children and youth!

We are seeking book worms, math geeks and science nerds that wish to harness their skills and knowledge to help close the ever widening achievement gap through the power of high quality homework assistance and tutoring. Come be a tutor for children in grades 1-8 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays of Fall 2017 at the Pico Branch Library in Virginia Avenue Park.

Pick up a volunteer application at the Pico Branch Reference Info Desk and apply today!
