There are many opportunities in the Metro Denver, Douglas, and Western Arapahoe areas for those ages 55 and better to give back to their community and help ensure that homebound elderly receive a meal. Each meal consists of an entrée and accompaniments such as vegetables, fruits, breads, milk, etc. that are needed to provide at least one-third of the recommended daily nutrients for older adults.
Time commitment is flexible.
To get started there is an application and orientation which is a quick and easy process. Background checks are needed based on volunteer site placed.
