Love To Help Others? Volunteer with Heartland Hospice!

Heartland Hospice is looking for caring, compassionate volunteers. We consider our involvement with each patient a sacred opportunity and a privilege to be in their lives. We depend on our hospice volunteers to help us provide the love, respect and care our patients and their families need. Volunteers can help enrich the lives of our patients by:

• Helping with office support tasks at the agency
• Running errands for patients and families
• Staying with patients so family members can get a much-needed rest
• Reading or providing a comforting touch
• Playing or singing soothing music to patients
• Participating in our vet to vet program
• Keeping vigil with patients in their final hours

As a Heartland Hospice volunteer you can donate as much or as little times as you desire. Our Direct patient volunteers would need to be able to visit with a patient on a consistent weekly, bi-weekly basis. The patients, families and staff of Heartland Hospice are grateful for any time that your schedule allows. There is training provided for every volunteer service offered.

Must be 16 for administrative tasks and 18 for direct patient volunteering
