ORGANIZATION: Riseboro Community Partnership

  • 10 people are interested

Riseboro Community Partnership is seeking fun, talkative and innovative volunteer who is interested in spending one hour, one day a week with one of our homebound senior citizen. We have a large population of Polish speaking clients who need a volunteer. We are currently looking for a Polish speaking volunteer for one of our seniors in Williamsburg.

Our senior citizens are unable to go out into the community and are looking for a companion to laugh with, talk to, watch television with, paint or draw with and enjoy their time with!

We ask that our volunteers commit to a minimum of 6 months with our seniors!

This is a mutually rewarding friendship, where you're able to learn about the seniors in your neighborhoods, their art styles, interests and the changes that have occurred to the community over the years!

We serve a diverse group of elderly and seek people of all backgrounds and ages (18 and up) to join us in helping them feel more connected to their communities.

This Friendly Visiting Program is funded by The NYC Department for the Aging.
