St. James Immigrant Assistance provides elder immigrant and refugee clients with a range of services and social opportunities so that they can be more engaged in the broader community. As an Elder Integration Companion you will provide conversation and friendship on field trips to museums and parks, or share special interests and skills in informal presentations. Groups meet throughout King County at various locations during day time hours. Knowledge of the area is a plus.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to promote an inclusive society and advance justice for refugees and immigrants through education, advocacy, and by helping the most isolated refugees and immigrants to learn English, become citizens and connect to community resources. We support the integration of refugees and immigrants into the larger community, and recognize that this is a shared process involving both immigrants and the communities into which they move.

We serve the community by providing free and low-cost Immigrant Assistance refugees and immigrants throughout King County.
