Description: Joining the Brown Bag Grocery Team is your chance to make a huge difference in the lives of seniors! Food insecurity is an issue for many seniors - one of the ways East Side Elders helps seniors with hunger is to provide a monthly delivery of groceries. But these groceries can only get to seniors in need with the help of our team of volunteers. Apply today for this monthly opportunity!
About us: East Side Elders helps seniors live full and rewarding lives - in the home and community they want - for as long as possible and as healthy and well as possible. Our teams of volunteers, students and community members provide a wide range of services and activities that give the necessary support and resources to our elderly neighbors wherever they call home.
Qualifications:
Must pass a background check
Able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds in a caring, courteous manner
Able to carry multiple bags of groceries and deliver them to seniors
Must have your own reliable transportation
Benefits:

Schedule:
Volunteers can choose to help with the following shifts:
The first Tuesday of every month from 1pm to 2pm (end time depends on delivery speed)
The first Thursday of every month from 12:30pm to 2pm (end time depends on delivery speed)
