Tidewater Hospice is looking for caring, sensitive volunteers in the Aiken and Augusta areas who are willing to share their special talents, skills, and life experiences to offer support to our patients and their families. Our primary need is people to visit our patients and their families for emotional support and companionship, but we would love to have volunters with special skills as well, such as administrative volunteers in the office, licensed massage therapy volunteers, pet therapy, or music therapy volunteers. We use Birthday Ambassadors to provide treats (cupcakes, cakes, pastries) to help our patients celebrate momentous occasions, and would love to have volunteers to un errands for patients, too. We work with whatever time and talents you're willing to share, and we provide initial and ongoing training. Call us with any questions, and talk to our volunteer coordinator.
