Description

For 28 years, the Lemp Neighborhood Arts Center has provided a space for touring and local artists, young musicians and young people who see the value in creating community around socially relevent music. We are an entirely volunteer music venue dedicated to all-ages concerts of experimental, non-commercial and youth music. As a performance space we have hosted nearly three thousand shows of underground, unknown or under-rated touring acts, including groups such as Animal Collective, Xiu Xiu, This Town Needs Guns, Phosphorescent, Native, Megafaun, and thousands more. Guided by a strong "do-it-yourself" ethic, we conduct all general operations, administration and maintenance of the venue, from working the door and soundboard at shows to making posters and corresponding with international musicians.

As a 501(c)3 not-profit corporation, we are always open to people seeking to fulfill a need or desire to offer community service. More importantly, we are always looking to grow our community of young people who find the values of independent music, experimentation and social change important.
