The Alzheimer’s Association- Oregon Chapter is seeking volunteers who have a background in elder care and/or who have caregiving experience who want to provide support to people living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by facilitating support groups.

This volunteer will co-facilitate Portland's only support group for people living in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. The group meets weekly for six weeks, 5 times a year. Meetings take place on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its offices in Portland, Bend and Medford, the Oregon Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900).
