The Violence Intervention Project, Inc. has multiple fundraising, and community awareness events that we are involved with each year. We continuously need volunteers to help with things like staffing food booths, helping with food preparation before big events, or helping with kid's activities during events, just to name a few! 24-Hour Helpline Volunteers Ongoing After Business Hours
-VIP is looking for volunteers willing to staff the overnight crisis helpline. The helpline can be forwarded to your personal phone during the necessary hours, and all training will be provided.
VIP 2 nd Annual Stamp out Violence Saturday, April 29 th 9:00am-3:00pm
St. John's Lutheran Church, 700 Heritage Rd, Luxemburg, WI 54217
-We still need 3 volunteers to do food prep for a taco bar, on the day before the event (Fri. 4/28/17) from about 9am-12pm
Dairy Days Dash 5k Run/Walk Saturday, June 3 rd 6:30am-11am
Luxemburg Community Center, 206 Maple St, Luxemburg, WI 54217
-We need 6-10 volunteers for the day before the event (Friday, June 2 nd ) , and the day of the event to do race-packet pick up, and registration tables
Farm Technology Days Tuesday, July 11 th through Thursday, July 13 th 8am-5pm
Ebert Enterprises, E5083 County Road K, Algoma, WI 54201
-We need 12 volunteers per day, each working a 4.5 hour shift staffing an Ice Cream food stand at this event. Volunteers must be registered by the end of April to participate in this event!
VIP’s 3 rd Annual Smokehouse Jamboree Tuesday, July 4 th 11am-4pm
Barnsite Retreat and Events Center, 109 Duvall St, Kewaunee, WI 54216
-We have multiple volunteer opportunities available at this event, ranging from food prep/service, kids tents, and games/activity areas. *We also have an ongoing opportunity for volunteers to contact businesses for donations for the event’s silent auction.

Description
The Violence Intervention Project is a bilingual, non-profit organization that serves all of Kewaunee County. Services are free. Services VIP provides are a 24-hour Helpline (offering crisis intervention and information), individual advocacy (provided to victims and their children), weekly support groups (women's support group with a children's support group at the same time) sexual assault survivors, Latin@ women, transitional living facility(provides affordable housing, support, community connections, options and advocacy to women and their children), speaker's bureau/protective behaviors presentations(provide speakers for schools, churches, business, etc.)
