Dining Site Volunteers work as a team to serve hot and nutritious food to older adults residing in the East Madison/Monona area.

Volunteers are welcome to stay to receive a complimentary lunch each time they help at the dining site.

No committment necessary and the volunteer can help when available

Volunteers help make lunch more enjoyable and timely for the seniors we serve. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping with any of the following duties:

• dish up catered meal
• serve meals to the participants (does NOT include feeding participants)
• serve beverages (milk, water, coffee)
• make coffee
• socialize with seniors as they eat their meals
• help clean-up after the meal

In order to ensure the safety of our participants and maintain high quality service, volunteers must complete an application, successfully pass a background/reference check, and participate in an interview/orientation process prior to starting as a volunteer. Training will be provided by the Nutrition Site Manager.
