ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

Do you consider yourself handy? There are many seniors in King County that are in need of small home repairs. This could be fixing leaky pipes, snaking a drain, or even fixing some siding on a mobile home. We are in serious need of some folks that will help out with these small tasks, and help out these seniors.

Volunteer Services assists low-income older adults and persons living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

Time and location are very flexible; you can volunteer in your own neighborhood at on days that work for you, at times and frequency that fit your schedule. You are provided with an orientation and ongoing staff support.

Description

Volunteer Services is a program of Catholic Community Services. We are a Washington state-wide program, started as a safety net for older adults and adults with disabilities who do not qualify for state-paid chore assistance and cannot afford to hire assistance.
