Our Homestead Hospice volunteers help patients and their families dealing with a life limiting illness through:
Patient and Family Support - support the family by sit with the patient, provide a break for the caregiver, run errands, light housekeeping and emotional support .
Community Outreach - represent Homestead Hospice in the community, at health fairs, festivals, and public speaking.
Administrative Support - fulfill clerical tasks such as filing, making phone calls, data entry, assisting in the day-to-day office duties to support our office operations.
Clinical Support - volunteer RN's, Chaplains, Home Health Aides, Medical Social Workers, Physicians, and others are needed. This service can be applied to your required community service hours for your school programs.
Special Skills/Therapist - massage, art, pet, music and yoga or tai chi helps our patients relax and relieve stress. Also assisting with language skills, hair dressing, and other personal care needs.
Bereavement Program - provide support during the grieving process and assistance at annual memorial services.
