During the end-of-life journey, we believe one need not walk alone. Hospice volunteers are gifted with a generosity of spirit that allows them to open their hearts to individuals who are terminally ill, their families and other special people in their lives. We are looking for people who want to make a positive impact in our community, who have a desire to make a difference and promote quality of life. Volunteers of all ages, spiritual and religious beliefs, social and professional backgrounds are encouraged to inquire. The GSS Hospice volunteer program offers many choices for involvement and is able to meet varying schedules, interests, and abilities.

Mission Statement
Good Samaritan Hospice Mission To provide compassionate, patient-directed care to individuals and their families as they journey towards the end of life. It is our concerted intent to care for the whole person in physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and practical sense; to use a dedicated interdisciplinary team approach recognizing and honoring the diversity, dignity and intrinsic worth of each person. Our focus is family centered, which includes bereavement and counseling support; and community leadership and education regarding the highest quality end of life experience. The Good Samaritan Society Way is the name we have given this emphasis. It’s a way of talking about sharing God’s love. But it’s an extension of what we’ve always done and how we’ve always loved the people in our care.
