How do you get to love on some wonderful kitties, care for them in your home, send them on their way to their new homes, then get a new kitty with a whole new set of quirks? You become a foster parent! That's how!

Kitty Save secures the future of homeless cats by providing foster care and presenting them for adoption to potential Forever Families. We need people willing to give these cats love and care in a safe and nurturing environment. We provide health care for the fostered cats and distribute food and litter as donations permit.

It is only through a solid foster network that animal rescue is possible. Without foster homes, most animals would remain homeless until they die of disease or abuse, or be euthanized for the crime of being without a safe place to live.

As a foster parent, you would care for the kitty as if it were your own, except that Kitty Save covers the vet costs and provides food and litter as donations are made. (Yes, it's true...some people love to visit the kitties during adoption events but never leave one bag of food, a single box of litter, or a dollar to go toward expenses.) Kitty Save also gives you a handbook with lots of care tips and contact information.

Being a foster parent is truly rewarding. You have the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing that you have given safe haven to a kitty that needed more time to find a good home. Most animals are enthanized after being in a city shelter 72 hours -- all because they don't have a home...YET. You can provide a temporary home. You can provide that waystation to a secure future.

Please contact us about being a foster parent of a kitty who is probably going to want to sit in your lap, play with you, meow at you, and snuggle in a night. Would that really be so bad?

If you want to get to know cats through fostering, we will help you understand what "cat-proofing" your home really means to your lifestyle. For kittens, we ask that you have some experience with kittens or are willing to take on adult cats as you learn about monitoring kittens and their growth.
