We are looking for a volunteer interested in leading a writing group at our elder care facility. This is a simple activity that includes:
-suggesting a writing prompt to the group
-writing for some elders while they dictate
-typing stories up later
-reading pieces aloud to the group
This is an activity that would ideally be held once per week, but even once or twice a month would be great. We have experience with this activity and are more than happy to lead while volunteers watch until they get comfortable with how it works. We can also make sure that there is always someone to assist during the activity.
If this interests you or you have questions, please get in touch! This is a wonderful way for us to help our elders tell their stories and share them with others.
