The mission of the St. Louis Arc is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to lead better lives by providing a lifetime of high-quality services, family support, and advocacy.

The Aging With Empowerment program offers a variety of classes that engage participants both mentally and physically. Classes include cooking, exercise, sports, arts & crafts, community activities, and more. Volunteers are needed to provide assistance to participants during these classes and support program leaders with activities. New volunteers will complete volunteer onboarding paperwork, orientation and a background check.

Weekdays, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Consistent day and time is preferred; Volunteers can choose the day and time available.

The St. Louis Arc is a non-profit, United Way agency that provides support and services to more than 4,000 adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area. It is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of the United States.
