Increase the access to technology for seniors that live in Parkview Villa
Develop informal lessons on basic computer skills to include the following:
- Computer Basics(Turning on the computer, logging in, icons and programs on the computer/available for use, Creating a password)
- Social Media (Creating an email and explaining how to check it/send/delete, etc., Creating a facebook account, Downloading pictures on your computer)
- Word (Making cards, Making lists/letters, other functions)
- Scam/Fraud protection
Answer specific individual questions residents may have about computer use.
Lessons will be informal and for small groups of 1 to 4 people. We anticipate that this will also become a drop-in time for assistance with computers (and potentially phones!).
We would like a volunteer to commit to a four month weekly commitment. We are flexible on day of the week and time to hold the class.
