ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

Daisy Flower

A Federal Way woman is looking for a volunteer that is available to come 2 times a month. She needs help getting her trash out to the dumpsters, and also light housework such as vacuuming, sweeping and moping. Her home is very tidy, but it's difficult for her to more strenuous housework because of her chronic condition. Keeping these things up are important to her, as well as keeping an environment that is sanitary for her health. Wanda is a very sweet and social woman. Although she is only 60, Wanda is on oxygen and is very petite and frail.

Don't live in Federal Way? We have people in similar situations throughout King County!

Volunteer Services assists low-income older adults and persons living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

Time and location are very flexible; you can volunteer in your own neighborhood at on days that work for you, at times and frequency that fit your schedule. You are provided with an orientation and ongoing staff support.
