This award winning theatre and community center is interested in working with enthusiastic individuals, development professionals and assistants who have or can develop connections to potential funders in the corporate, foundation, and individual donation arenas. Projects include facilitating meetings with decision makers; providing access to organizations and individuals to review funding proposals; writing development communications plans and proposals; working with grant-writing and marketing volunteers. We welcome experienced non-profit professionals as well as individuals with no specific experience in fundraising, but who have ideas and enthusiasm to raise money for ATW's operations, programs, and productions. Description
Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
