Volunteers are an integral and important part of the care that we offer our hospice patients at both Maple Knoll Communities and Cedar Village Retirement Communities. Through Village Home Health and Hospice, volunteers will have the opportunity to work with our hospice patients and their families to provide care and support. Volunteers can participate in a wide variety of activities with our hospice patients including reading, having conversations, going on walks, providing healing touch, helping write letters, playing music, and so much more.

Each volunteer interaction is personalized to meet the needs of our current patients, but the power of presence is the most important gift our volunteers can offer. Giving someone support and company during life-limiting illnesses increases the level of care and comfort that a hospice patient can recieve, and your willingness to volunteer is crucial to this process!

We also offer credit for Scouts, college, school, and community service! Our schedule is flexible and to meet your needs and availability, as well.
