Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Sydney Cooper Senior Smiles!
Our volunteers provide much needed companionship to residents at different elderly care communities in California. This is done through weekly meet-ups and activities such as art, music, reading, board games, and even simple conversations.
After a training session, our organization will pair you with senior citizens that are in need of companionship or stimulating activities. Visits are located in a senior residence and occur once a week for a minimum of one hour. Anyone with a big heart, open mind, and patience is welcome to volunteer. To summarize, the volunteer process to get started goes like this:
1. Attend a required training for new volunteers.
2. Get introduced to the facility, meet the residents, and then get paired-up with your senior.
3. Bring smiles to your seniors by visiting him or her weekly for at least an hour!R

Sydney Cooper Senior Smiles™ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that trains, recruits, and educates volunteers of all ages on the needs of the elderly, and then pairs the volunteer with a senior who would benefit from companionship. Seniors are located in nursing homes, board and care, assisted living, and senior living communities throughout Southern California.
