With the only nationally accredited senior center in South Texas, we strive to provide a safe, enjoyable and active environment for our senior citizen clients. Our Senior Center Assistants help in all aspects of our daily program. Activities include, but are not limited to, morning walks, bingo instruction, serving meals, arts and crafts, computer lab instruction, and monitors. Each of these activities are put in place to stimulate the mind and/or get the body moving.
Senior Center Assistants must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. We ask for a time commitment of at least four hours. Participation is contingent upon clearance of a background check.
Senior Center Hours:
Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 2:00pm

Since 1951, Good Samaritan Community Services (GSCS) has provided much needed assistance to people living in the neighborhoods of San Antonio's near west side.
GSCS offers extensive social service programs that address the overall needs of children, youth, and families living in this community. GSCS's commitment to improving the quality of life in this area of town is embodied in its mission, changing lives through excellent community services.
