Imagine the joy on the face of a child this holiday season when he or she receives a toy that their parents could not afford. Multiply that by over 100 faces and you?ll quickly learn why the Universal City-North Hollywood Jaycees have run the ?Operation Santa? project for the last eight years.

Thanks to the incredible support of the community, the Universal City-North Hollywood Jaycees make the holidays a little bit brighter for local low-income children by delivering toys and gifts to them on Christmas Eve. The children we serve are not only asking for the latest toy, but often will go as far as to ask Santa to find a job for their recently unemployed parent or even the food for their holiday table.

The Jaycees, along with volunteers from community groups and local business, completely administer the program and make this project possible. We complete various tasks leading up to the big night ? Christmas Eve ? when we fan out dressed as Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves and deliver toys directly to the children at their homes.

Would you consider volunteering for Operation Santa this year? You can volunteer as much or as little as you can in a variety of ways (see attached).

The Universal City-North Hollywood Jaycees are part of an eighty year old, international organization of young adults who learn leadership development through service to the community. Our members come from all walks of life and represent everything from students to business owners.
