We are a social startup focused on educating young people in effective altruism. We are looking for dedicated and talented people to join our team. If you are interested in non-profit work, international development, or simply looking for a volunteer opportunity to diversify your skill set and enhance your resume, this is the position you have been waiting for.

What is SHIC?

Students for High Impact Charities (SHIC) is a program designed to help amazing students turn into even more amazing leaders, changemakers, and activists. Students in the SHIC program learn about effective altruism- how to do as much good as possible with a limited amount of time and money-through engaging discussions, videos, and exercises. SHIC provides a space for students to challenge their preconceived notions, critically examine their place in the world, and ask difficult questions about what it really means to help others. Our goal is to empower students so that they feel like they have the necessary tools to go out in the world and make a difference, whether it be in their own community or overseas.

About the Position:

As member of the SHIC startup team, you will wear many hats. Although we try to match tasks with skill level, you will regularly be given the chance to try new things. You have the potential to get familiar with project management, copy writing and editing, web development, web marketing, outreach, communications, donor stewardship, and more!
