Pick up food items weekly from the Westmont location Food Pantry on behalf of clients who are unable to leave their home. Deliver the food to their home with a partner.
Choose a friend or family member to be your delivery partner, or PRC will happily match you with another volunteer.
What would make you a good fit for this opportunity?
You are available for the same 2-3 hour daytime shift each week
You would enjoy interacting with clients as you drop off their food
You can lift and carry bags/boxes of groceries up stairs to houses or in apartment buildings
You own a vehicle large enough to carry several boxes of groceries

Description
Since 1975, People’s Resource Center has been bringing neighbors together to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. With a team of over 1,500 volunteers, we offer nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for people facing tough times. And we connect people with resources--education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community--to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.
Volunteer at PRC: Help in the food pantry or clothes closet, become a tutor, teach a class, organize a food drive, make a difference to a neighbor in need.
