Fulfill an essential role in this year’s STEAMWORKS Festival of Curiosity~ a public festival of hands-on exploration and discovery!

We are looking for outgoing, energetic people who enjoy 'light bulb’ moments working with children and adults~

Work directly with attendees, assisting with dynamic hands-on activities including Paper Rockets, Leaf Blower Hovercraft, Catapults, Giant Bubbles, Modular sculptures, Tesla Coil, Wooden Car Build, Fog Cannon, etc.

The Mission of Make: STEAM is to increase creativity and ingenuity in education through workshops, events, and advocacy encouraging hands-on, integrated curricula for students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.

Description

Make: STEAM provides hands-on workshops and labs to support classroom learning in the public schools of District 14, Brooklyn. Make: STEAM offers professional development opportunities to teachers and teaching artists working in public, independent and community programs. Make: STEAM encourages and advocates for students with diverse learning styles by creating opportunities for learning through exploration and discovery, enriching understanding through design thinking, and sharing knowledge through exhibits and online resources.
