Heartland Hospice is currently seeking hospice volunteers in the Suffolk area.
If you have compassion and enjoy providing comforting companionship, this opportunity may be right for you.
Hospice volunteers visit with patients in their home (private residence or facility) and provide a comforting presence by holding the patient's hand, reading books, having a conversation, or simply just being there.
Time commitment is once per week for about an hour. Volunteers can spend more time with patients. If you are interested in this opportunity, but you think the time commitment may not be right for you, please give us a call to see if we can arrange an appropriate schedule.
