Heartland Hospice is currently seeking compassionate individuals interested in visiting with hospice patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
All volunteers go through comprehensive training to prepare for visits with patients. Volunteers will begin by seeing one patient once per week for approximately one hour.
Hospice patients in facilities are often unable to participate in group activities and benefit more from having one-on-one interaction. Taking time to improve the day of patients at the end of their life is extremely appreciated.
