For the past 5 years on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Groundwork Denver brings together volunteers to do door-to-door home energy use outreach throughout various neighborhoods of Denver. Handing out free energy efficient light bulbs to residents and signing them up for Groundwork Denver's FREE home energy audit and weatherizations services, as well as sharing home energy efficiency resources and other benefits.
This year on January 18th 2016 We will being our neighborhood energy outreach in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood of Denver.
We are looking for individuals and groups who are interested in participating in this years outreach!
Volunteers will meet at the Zion Senior Center for training. This will also be the end location after volunteers finish. Food will be provided!

We work with residents of Denver's lower income neighborhoods to improve the physical environment. We have three main program areas:
1. Building Sustainable Communities, which includes job training and environmental leadership development.
2. Brownfields and land transformations, which includes converting underutilized properties to new parks, trails and other public amenities.
3. Denver Climate Challenge which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
