We are looking for compassionate volunteers to visit senior veterans in North Metro Denver areas around Westminster, Thornton, Northglenn, and Federal Heights. Another veteran volunteer would be ideal but all volunteers who enjoy friendly visiting are welcome. Volunteers might also help with errands and shopping depending on the need. Volunteers in our program serve weekly or every other week for 2-3 hours. Organize a network of community volunteers, all with traditions of human concern for others, whose purpose is to work with the frail, elderly, and people living with disabilities and their families in an effort to enable those served to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Description
We assist older adults in their homes with chores they find it difficult to do such as light housekeeping, shopping and errands, pet care, business help, and yard help. We always friendly visit with the seniors along with helping them around the house.
