GMIC = Global Mobile Internet Conference

We need AdoptMeApp "Ambassadors" to work at our table and roam the conference striking up conversations with attendees and telling them about AdoptMeApp.

AdoptMeApp is a free mobile app specifically for animal shelters and rescue groups to easily spread the word about their adoptable pets. A full description of AdoptMeApp is at http://www.adoptmeapp.org.

The app is incredibly simple to use - it does not require any training. Our marketing goal at the conference is to get some/many/most/ALL attendees to download the app and try it out in the AdoptMeApp Demo Shelter. The AdoptMeApp Demo Shelter has toy stuffed animals. You, as an AdoptMeApp Ambassador, will carry around a few toy stuffed animals (from our menagerie) and convince attendees to download the app and take a selfie with one of the animals! By raising the visibility of AdoptMeApp to potential investors and organizations, we hope to obtain publicity, and even additional funding so that we can distribute AdoptMeApp to every animal rescue organization in the world! (AdoptMeApp is already live at Humane Society Silicon Valley, Pets in Need in Redwood City, and the RSPCA in Queensland, Australia - see http://adoptmeapp.org for more information and links to those organizations AdoptMeApp accounts).

What does it take to be an AdoptMeApp Ambassador at GMIC?

  • Love of animals; and even a passion for helping shelter and rescue pets find homes
  • Friendly and outgoing personality, willingness to approach strangers and engage with them
  • Self confidence to carry around a few toy stuffed animals at a major mobile app conference and have fun while doing so
  • Integrity, truthfulness
  • Comittment to be an AdoptMeApp Ambassador for at least 3 hours of attendance at the conference
  • Registration for a free ticket to GMIC - to register go here https://www.customreg.com/generalreg28/default.asp?show=gwc_gmic_092015&IDevent1=1, sign up for the full confrence pass using this code -GSV08. Your pass will be FREE.
  • Attendance at a half hour webinar about AdoptMeApp next week (Sep 21-26) held online by Cynthia Typaldos, the CEO of AdoptMeApp (two webindars will be held, date/time TBD to accomodate your availability)
  • Signing of a volunteer form that will expressly state stuff such as:
  1. This volunteer opportunity is unpaid
  2. AdoptMeApp is not liable for anything
  3. You will wear appropriate attire (be creative though!) and do your best to be good spokesperson for AdoptMeApp and homeless pets
  4. Your AdoptMeApp Ambassadorship is only for the duration of the GMIC conference and AdoptMeApp can rescind it at any time.
  5. Other legal stuff that our attorney will make us put into the volunteer form.

Thanks for reading about our AdoptMeApp Ambassador Opportunity! We hope you will consider joining us.
