Youth Environmental Education
Do you love working with children and sharing your knowledge of urban ecology? Would you like to share a specialty skill such as photography or graphic design? Trees Atlanta seeks enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to support our youth environmental education programs.
Here’s how you can help:
School Programs Assistant
Urban TreeTrackers is our in-school environmental education program. Educators are in need of volunteers to help facilitate the sessions. Tasks can include assistance setting up, cleaning up, taking photos, and classroom management.

Thirsty Roots Readers
Every Monday (except during holidays and special events) Trees Atlanta’s TreeHouse hosts Thirsty Roots Reading Group from 10:30-11:30. Young children and their guardians are invited to hear an environmentally themed book followed by a nature craft. Volunteers are needed from 10:00am-noon to facilitate the program.

Jr. TreeKeepers Camp Volunteers
Junior TreeKeeper Camp is a year-round series of day camps comprised of week-long and one-day programs for students in 1 st through 6 th grades. We are seeking volunteers with specialized skill sets such as photography to help document the camp experience.

Description
Trees Atlanta plants over 3,000 trees per year and maintains thousands more that give us shade, oxygen, wildlife habitat, and so much more. We restore greenspaces to their native plant communities, bring children out into their urban forest to learn, and host fun programs for adults. All of this is done with volunteers like you!
