We Honor Veterans is a National Hospice and Palliative Care program in which NorthCare Hospice is a proud partner. The purpose of this program is to continue to honor our Veterans at the end of their lives. The We Honor Veterans Program involves the education of our staff and the community, special events honoring our Veterans for their service, and volunteering to serve our Veteran men and women.
NorthCare Hospice offers a Veteran to Veteran volunteer program in which Veterans can serve in a multitude of ways; friendly patient visits, life review through our Lifetime Legacy Video program, making keepsake quilts for patients and their families, help with light housekeeping, phone calls of support, and our "No Veteran Dies Alone" program. Volunteers may also assist in Veterans Day services and other special recognition events throughout the year.

Description
NorthCare Hospice has been bringing warmth and a personal touch to professional hospice care since 1996. NorthCare Hospice mobilizes volunteers to work with staff to provide services to patients in nine counties throughout the Kansas City Metro Area. There are many ways volunteers can help support patients and families. Volunteers do not administer medications or perform nursing duties.
